Featured Project: Norwalk Boulevard and Lambert Road Stations First-Last Mile (FLM) Plans

The two FLM Plans for future Metro Rail station sites along the E Line at Washington and Norwalk Boulevards and Washington Boulevard/Lambert Road were developed within the same timeframe. The Metro FLM guidelines were applied to the effort. The Plans define walking and bicycling mobility improvements within the station areas, seeking to improve access for users of the future rail line. The analysis focused on barriers and other mobility issues including comfort, to provide pathways that ease the first-mile or last-mile of travel at the stations. Improvements were recommended for future final design and implementation by the local cities and the County.
