KOA prepared the transportation analyses for this mixed-use project located in the Central City West community adjacent to Downtown Los Angeles. The project is comprised of 648 apartment dwelling units and 39,996 square feet of neighborhood-serving retail space. As part of our transportation analyses, we developed conceptual mitigation improvement plans in order to address the project’s significant traffic impacts. We also evaluated the traffic impacts for multiple development scenarios and performed a mitigation measure trigger analysis to identify at which phases in the development process measures should be implemented. Further, we prepared an analysis for the reclassification of Bixel Street, between 3rd Street and Wilshire Boulevard, which was incorporated into the Central City West Specific Plan. Finally we prepare the Transportation Demand Management Plan for the project.
