KOA provided traffic calming assessment services for the 132-residential unit community in the City of Aliso Viejo. The community was experiencing high speed traffic along the community’s internal street network comprised of four roadways creating a potential dangerous environment for pedestrians and other vehicle traffic in the community. The study included a field review of existing roadway conditions and traffic operations, inventory of existing traffic control devices, and sight distance analysis. KOA prepared a detailed report documenting the existing conditions, findings based on a variety of analyses, and identification of locations with appropriate traffic calming improvements, along with detailed exhibits for consideration by the community board.
