KOA performed an analysis and feasibility study to construct bike boulevards and buffered bike lanes on 15 corridors throughout the City. KOA addressed challenges in this study including meeting HDM guidelines for nine and 12-foot paths on narrow Pasadena roadways, conforming with the Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines, and determining whether to use one-way bike lanes versus two-way bike lanes. KOA provided alternatives for each roadway to allow the City to make strategic decisions and mitigate the impacts of removing travel lanes and on-street parking.  Each corridor analysis included a tally of lost parking spaces and an evaluation of intersection level-of-service to demonstrate the impacts each alternative would have on the roadway. This document helped prepare KOA to complete the Bikeway Transportation Action Plan.
