KOA led a team to improve bicycle facilities for the City of Wildomar along a five-mile span of Grand Avenue and Clinton Keith Road, including the incorporation of Class I, Class II, and Class III facilities for bicyclists.  KOA began the project by conducting a bike ride with City staff and local citizens at a kickoff meeting.  Work consisted of three separate projects with financing provided by local sources and state and federal grants.   KOA provided conceptual plans and alignments, traffic calming design, street crossing designs for bicycle and pedestrian uses, and designs incorporating ADA access for the multipurpose trail.  KOA attended public meetings to obtain the community’s input and to educate locals about safe bicycling practices. The improvements will serve students attending a middle school on Grand Avenue and the local bicycling community. During the project process, KOA helped the City successfully obtain several grants, including ATP grants.
