The City was awarded grant funding from the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) to implement Safe Routes to School (SRTS) educational programs to promote walking and bicycling among students at 28 elementary schools within the City of Moreno Valley. KOA assisted Community Now, a local non-profit organization, in providing dedicated professional and support staff expertise for the revision of the City’s existing Suggested Routes to School maps (English & Spanish) – based on input from walkability audits. Suggested Routes to School maps also include walking and biking safety tips for students.
