KOA Corporation was recently awarded the City of South Gate’s Tweedy Mile Complete Streets project! The project is located on Tweedy Boulevard between Alameda Street and Atlantic Avenue and will include several safety improvements including, but not limited to curb extensions, parklets, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, ADA compliant curb ramps, pavement rehabilitation, and signing & striping. KOA is thrilled to be working with the City of South Gate on this community-enhancing project.

On Thursday, October 28th, KOA’s Michael Nilsson, Zachary Popp, Jonathan Raspa, and Jenny Yu participated in the Planning Directors Association of Orange County annual Forum at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. Participants at the Forum include Planning Directors, Senior Planners and consultants serving government institutions throughout Orange County. Michael, Zachary, Jonathan led a session on successfully obtaining and managing grants in the morning. Following this morning session, Michael, Jenny and Jonathan led an afternoon session on equitable and interactive engagement strategies. The forum was an exciting opportunity to build relationships with members of planning and other public agency departments throughout Orange County and to highlight our company’s strengths in funding and engagement.
