Our staff includes registered civil and traffic professional engineers, certified transportation planners, certified road safety professionals, project/construction managers, and construction inspectors.

In December 2022, KOA joined Lochner, a national transportation infrastructure firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, providing planning, environmental, design, construction engineering and inspection, and right-of-way services for surface transportation, rail, transit, and aviation clients. Requirements:

  • Minimum duties include performing a variety of transportation planning tasks supporting various project managers and collaborating with team members.

  • Technical support on projects as needed and assists with the preparation of tables and figures for inclusion in work products, as well as engineering plans.

  • You will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship camaraderie and exposure to report and other project product preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Entry level experience of civil engineering concepts and planning.

  • Minimum duties include assisting associate and senior staff with planning projects.

  • Pursuing an engineering/planning degree at an accredited four-year college.

  • Analytical skills and ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands.

  • Ability to work in teams and receive mentorship to include constructive criticism.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

The range for this position is between $20 – 22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
