Our staff includes registered civil and traffic professional engineers, certified transportation planners, certified road safety professionals, project/construction managers, and construction inspectors.
In December 2022, KOA joined Lochner, a national transportation infrastructure firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, providing planning, environmental, design, construction engineering and inspection, and right-of-way services for surface transportation, rail, transit, and aviation clients. Requirements:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting licensed professional engineers in traffic signal design, signing and striping design, worksite traffic control plan preparation, street and highway design, conducting field reviews.

Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work.
Qualifications:

Entry level experience of civil engineering concepts and proficiency in CADD applications such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, among others.

Minimum duties include assisting associate and senior staff with highway and traffic engineering and design projects.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.

Pursuing an engineering degree at an accredited four-year college.

Analytical skills and ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands.

Ability to work in teams and receive mentorship to include constructive criticism.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
The range for this position is between $20 – 22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
