The Town of Yucca Valley received ATP funds to improve pedestrian facilities along Little League Drive between Palm Avenue and Sage Avenue. The improvements included installation of new sidewalks, curb and gutters, driveways, signing and striping, and ADA access ramps primarily on the South side of Little League Drive.  The improvements will also include a cul-de-sac about 400’ East of Palm Avenue on Little League drive to create a pedestrian promenade with removable bollards to block car access from Palm Avenue. KOA was retained to provide professional engineering services to develop the construction Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E). In addition to the technical engineering work, the KOA team provided overall project management; utility coordination, and engineering design and support services including surveying; assisting the Town in obtaining the Authorization to Proceed with construction (E-76 documents) from Caltrans; providing engineering consultation services during the construction bidding phase; complying with all federal and state grant funding program requirements; and maintained accounting on all invoices as required for the grant funding programs.
