Old Town Tustin Parking Needs Study, Tustin, California
KOA conducted a comprehensive parking study for Old Town Tustin as part of the City of Tustin’s effort to revitalize the area. The Old Town area is a traditional small town downtown retail and business area. As part of a comprehensive effort to revise the parking codes and to plan for future parking needs, KOA reviewed parking studies, policies and codes, conducted research into relevant projects, and reviewed the City’s General Plan. Working wit City staff KOA was able to define key issues to be addressed and to identify perceived areas of known parking deficiencies, areas of foreseeable growth, and the need for additional data collection. KOA developed a priority ranking of specific areas of existing and / or forecast future parking issues, identified alternative solutions unique to each sub-area, and developed potential parking management strategies to satisfy the assessed current and future parking needs for Old Town.
