North Hills Parkway Street Design, Phase I, Moorpark, California
The KOA team is preparing a complete PS&E design package to the City of Moorpark for the construction of Phase I of North Hills Parkway. The full extent of North Hills Parkway will extend to the north from Los Angeles Avenue near the eastern City boundary and continue to the west approximately 4 miles through the City of Moorpark and terminate at Spring Road, including an UPRR underpass bridge on the western edge of the proposed Parkway. Once all phases are complete, North Hills Parkway will operate as a bypas of Los Angeles Avenue (SR-118) and change the way traffic circulates within the City of Moorpark. Phase I will include more than 1.5 mils of divided Parkway on a hilly terrain, a new UPRR underpass bridge, and an improved existing UPRR at-grade crossing at Gabbert Road.
