City of Anaheim Pedestrian Capacity Study, Anaheim, California
The City of Anaheim was anticipating large increases in pedestrian activity from the completion of several major tourist venues, including Disney’s California Adventure adjacent to Disneyland and expansion of the Anaheim Convention Center. The City was concerned that increases in pedestrian activity could result in pedestrian or traffic congestion. The study prepared a forecast of future pedestrian activity throughout the City’s resort area and identified locations where pedestrian facilities would require enhancement. Recommended strategies range from adjustments to physical facilities and identification of activities and obstructions that may produce deficiencies in pedestrian flow. |
